International Women’s Day

The 8th of March 2013 celebrates International Women’s Day a tradition which has been followed since the early 1990’s . Offering support to women in need and celebrating the incredible achievements of women all around the world working and living in many different fields it is to embrace all aspects of femininity.

With people all over the world celebrating International Women’s Day in many different way there are as always a variety of events going on that empower, educate, and celebrate with women in the fight for equality.

We are so very grateful to all of the inspiring women we have had the pleasure to meet and work with, from brides to editors, fellow designers to the village women of  Sanyukta’s native Nepal. The Sanyukta Shrestha team are proud to do our bit towards supporting women by using the traditional weaving skills of the village women of Nepal to create our beautiful fabrics used on our wedding dresses. Our company ethics strongly believe in ‘Beauty with a conscience’and we will continue to strive to develop beautiful wedding gowns utilizing the incredible skills female weavers. You can read more about our work ethics here.
