Guided by Optimism and the Drive to Support our Communities as much as we can, the Sanyukta Shrestha Team and fabulous volunteers proudly achieved more than double the target in making masks for our key-workers and vulnerable communities . Initially we started this journey to protect our key workers and vulnerable communities by making masks from 100 meter of organic cottons, sourced from our wedding dress archive collections. During this journey, our reward was the kind words and warm smiles we received from Nepal to Britain, guiding us to do our best to help as many as possible. We up-cycled every little piece of fabric we found in our old design samples, cut-outs, stock relevant fabrics to utilise completely in our project helping us cut nearly 2000 masks now.
In this journey we have not been alone. We are really grateful for our brides, suppliers and well-wishers invaluable support and we consider you all a significant factor of this positive project. Our wonderful fabric Suppliers Organic Textile Company and A to Z fabrics kindly donated 100% cotton cut-outs, and many of our Brides & friends donated to our just giving page which we could make further 225 masks.
We are continuing our team effort to make masks and donate to the most vulnerable communities both in the UK & Nepal. You can support our initiative and help people in need by donating via this link. We will continue our skill to use for good purposes, reaching out to people in desperate need of help and also help local communities of seamstresses to revive their livelihood.
