“Best Christmas Day Ever” – Well, we’re not sure how you could possibly top the Christmas gift Danielle received from Julian… An engagement ring on Christmas morning, proposed to in your childhood bedroom, you certainly couldn’t ask for a better present! Danielle and Julian married in Sicily on July 9^th 2016 in a beautiful church by the beach. In perfect relax summer style, they sipped the night away at a gorgeous Sicilian winery in the hills.

Danielle fell in love with our Evelyn gown, and we can see why, it looked INCREDIBLE on her. Our Evelyn gown is a very versatile style when it comes to weddings – Evelyn looks beautiful by the beach, in a garden ceremony and even in a grand church. You can certainly wear Evelyn for all wedding styles!

WEDDING THEME:

There was no theme, but we wanted it to be relaxed, summery and a little rustic. Just because that suited us as a couple – so a little church by the beach, followed by outdoor drinks, then an outdoor reception at a winery in the hills – with the first and last courses mingling rather than seated – was perfect. For the decorations at the venue we went for rustic, along with all the stationary.

Reading our personalized vows in the courtyard at the reception venue with all our family and friends.

THE DRESS:

When I put on the Evelyn gown I couldn’t take it off! That was the best sign. It had the perfect mix of elegance, simplicity and bohemian spirit. It was my ideal dress, and I can’t imagine getting married in anything else. It was the perfect mix of bohemian spirit, elegance and individuality. It made me feel like myself.

THE PROPOSAL:

We were going back to the Danielle’s home in Australia (Perth) for Christmas, so Julian decided to ask then – while she was with her friends and family. He asked on Christmas morning in her childhood bedroom – best Christmas day ever!

Reception – Santa Anastasia (Castelbuono, Sicily)

Don’t spend too much time searching online for specific dresses you like. Get an idea of the styles you like, and then just go try many on! You may find a beautiful dress online, but it may from a few seasons ago and so isn’t possible to obtain.
