Now that the dust has settled on another London Fashion Week AW26, we’ve taken a moment to reflect on the electric energy at 180 Strand. This season felt distinct—grounded in heritage, driven by sustainability, and powered by the raw beauty of storytelling. While the industry’s fast-paced cycle has already moved to the next horizon, the reflections on artistry and advocacy captured this week remain at the heart of the Sanyukta Shrestha mission.
At Sanyukta Shrestha, we believe fashion week is as much about the values we wear as the designs we showcase. To mark the opening at 180 Strand, our Creative Director embodied our commitment to ethical luxury, wearing the Vajrayana long jacket from the SS26 collection.
Crafted from hand-loomed organic cotton and featuring a hand-block printed logo, the piece is a tribute to the meticulous skill of our women artisans in Nepal. The ensemble was completed with a Mango Leather belt and the Vajra handbag—a signature piece featuring innovative mango waste leather and a hand-carved brass handle created by brass artisans in Nepal using techniques that are centuries old. For us, these aren’t just accessories; they are a bridge between ancient Himalayan craft and the modern world.
1. LFW Royal Milestone
It was a significant milestone for the entire British fashion community to have His Majesty King Charles III officially open London Fashion Week. As a champion of sustainability, his presence at 180 Strand underscored the vital importance of the circular economy for our industry’s future.

2. Leadership in Action:
During the LFW opening breakfast, BFC CEO Laura Weir set the tone for the season with a motivating speech. Her message—”we’re all in this together”—signaled a new era of global collaboration. We are inspired by the BFC’s evolving strategy to champion designers through tangible action.
Advocacy is at our core, and London Fashion Week serves as a vital hub for aligning our mission with global leaders. A major highlight was Sanyukta’s personal exchange with two powerhouses in the climate and fashion space: Shailja Dubé, Deputy Director of The Institute of Positive Fashion at the BFC, and Malini Mehra, CEO of GLOBE Legislators and a lead at London Climate Action Week. These conversations on a regenerative future reinforce our brand’s dedication to a more conscious industry.
A chance meeting with Manindra Suchdeva sparked a fascinating conversation on how South Asian art and culture have quietly shaped global fashion for centuries. It served as a powerful reminder of the deep roots from which our contemporary designs grow.

5. The Energy of the Runway
Between our own showcases at 180 Strand , we were proud to support our peers in the BFC community. There is an irreplaceable magic in seeing a collection come to life under the lights, fueled by the collective energy of the fashion industry.
6. Our Continuum AW26 Showcase at LFW by Omoda
The centerpiece of our week was the debut of our Continuum AW26 immersive film showcase . Supported by the BFC and made possible through an incredible partnership with Omoda, this project was far more than a collection launch; it was a cinematic tribute to the “slow fashion” philosophy. This collaboration allowed us to merge the cutting-edge energy of LFW with our core values of sustainability and innovation.

7. The Living Legacy of the Loom
Through our immersive experience, we transported the audience at 180 Strand directly to the heart of our production in Nepal. One of the most powerful visual moments in the film featured a Nepali model alongside an artisan weaving the very fabric used in the collection. This imagery was essential; it bridged the gap between ancient Himalayan tradition and the global fashion landscape—a reminder that every thread in the Continuum collection carries a story of origin and a legacy of craft.
“With Continuum, we are redefining the anatomy of luxury. It is a tribute to the ‘who’ behind the ‘what’—a heartbeat felt in the rhythmic pulse of the loom and the steady, ancestral wisdom of our artisans in Nepal. True luxury is not merely a finished garment; it is the soul, the story, and the living legacy woven into every single fiber.” — Sanyukta Shrestha
8. Architectural Construction: Cloth Surgeon
We were captivated by the Cloth Surgeon display at 180 Strand. Their oversized jacket was a masterclass in construction—a testament to the scale and detail possible when tailoring is treated as high art.

Innovation requires a village. We owe a huge thank you British Fashion Council. Their behind-the-scenes support allows our creative team to focus on our creativity during the high-pressure environment of Fashion Week.
Finally, we spent time immersed in the Designer Showcase. It remains the definitive space to witness the British talent shaping the next decade of style.

This season reminded us that fashion is at its best when it serves a higher purpose. It isn’t just about style; it is about the people, the history, and the uncompromising craftsmanship that makes every garment a piece of living art.
