When planning a wedding, there are many things to consider, the venue, the flowers, the cake but no decision for a bride is as important as the style in which she will walk down the aisle to meet her future husband. Every bride dreams of looking and feeling perfect in that unforgettable moment.
While some choose an extravagant princess gown with a traditional veil, others may prefer simple classic look with an understated bridal headpiece . One very special Sanyukta Shrestha bride dared to be different as the first bride to marry in the dramatic Adroit Hat. It was a joy to see this beautiful bride walking down the aisle in our unique bridal millinery.
Made of Wild Nettle from Nepal, this piece has always been a signature of the Sanyukta Shrestha Millinery collection due to its uniqueness and drama. Nearly two feet high the hand crafted Adriot hat is made with 100% wild nettle flower on a natural Sinamay base. The piece is finished and hand beaded with Swarovski crystals.
The Nettle fibre used has been specially sourced from villages in Nepal by local villagers who painstakingly collect nettle from community forests in controlled amount, so as not to adversely affect the ecological balance. Chemicals are shunned in favour of traditional bleaching agents like ash to treat the plant. The fibre is eventually hand-spun into fabrics by the villagers. By turning & twisting with delicacy, Sanyukta recreates this coarse fabric into a bridal luxury.
Pairing it with a simply elegant fitted gown Yvonne looked so every inch the modern vintage bride and it was wonderful to see her personality and personal style merged to redefine her unique bridal look. Yvonne married to Marcus in such beautiful style that the wedding has been recently featured as one of the best 25 Real Irish Weddings in Confetti Magazine for their unique taste and elegance.
Yvonne wore Sanyukta Shrestha hat and Lara Hannah dress both from our favourite bridal boutique Little White dress in Dublin. To find nearest boutique or to view Sanyukta Shrestha collection please follow the link: www.sanyuktashrestha.com/stockist.html
